FIGHT FOR OUR WATER, WILDLIFE, AND RURAL LIFESTYLE. FIGHT FOR OUR STATE’S FUTURE.

We aim to stop this toll road debacle in its tracks by (1) delegitimizing FDOT’s project development process and exposing it for the sham that it is, (2)  demonstrating the widespread public opposition to the proposed toll roads by local residents in the pathway of the proposed routes, and (3) lobbying local electeds within impacted municipalities and counties to take a decisive stand opposing what is left of the M-CORES threat (the Northern Turnpike Extension and sprawl-inducing changes to US 19/98). Learn more about the remaining toll road threats and how you can take action and organize against them here. Read more about the No Roads to Ruin Coalition’s response to FDOT announcing that it would ‘pause’ the Northern Turnpike Extension project but did not say that the “No Build” or “No Action decision had been concluded from the Project Development Process.

We still have a lot of question about this ‘pause’. But collectively, using the grassroots power of local residents, the resources of small and large organizations and businesses around the state, we can stop these “roads to ruin.” We are already proving that.
